The ministry has urged Lithuanian citizens who are currently in the regions affected by the earthquake to avoid damaged buildings and follow the recommendations of local institutions.
The epicenter of the earthquake, which was reported at 1:31 a.m. local and Lithuanian time, was around 10.3 km south of the large Turkish resort of Bodrum, which attracts large crowds of tourists in the summer season, and some 16.2 km east of the Greek island of Kos, the US Geological Survey said.
Greek authorities confirmed death of two men – tourists from Turkey and Sweden – during the 6.7 point earthquake on Kos.
