“The arrival of four Ukrainian soldiers, injured in eastern Ukraine, to Lithuania to undergo rehabilitation is planned next week,” Rasa Jakilaitienė, spokeswoman for the Lithuanian foreign minister, told BNS.
On 1 July, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko ended a 10-day unilateral ceasefire in response to ongoing pro-Russian attacks that have lead to deaths of over 20 Ukrainian soldiers.
The Ukrainian forces have secured several important military victories in recent days and forced the majority of insurgents out of Donetsk and Luhansk.
The Ukrainian defence minister said on Tuesday that Kiev would not negotiate possible truce conditions with pro-Russian insurgents until they disarmed.
According to Jakilaitienė, Lithuania previously provided treatment to 22 Ukrainians injured during the Kiev protests against the then President Viktor Yanukovych.
