The letter is aimed at establishing mutually beneficial partnership in exchanging knowledge and experience between Lithuanian and German land troops, as well as strengthening cooperation in military training and exercises and in preparing defence plans, concepts and doctrines, and in other important areas, the ministry said.
Germany is leading NATO‘s multinational battalion that is being deployed to Lithuania. The deployment of the enhanced forward presence battalion, which will consist of over 1,000 troops from several NATO member states, is planned to be completed in June.
