The Summer Camp is aimed at non-nationals of all ages living and working in the Lithuanian capital, who wish to immerse themselves further into Lithuanian culture and language.
The event will take place in Semeliškės, outside of Vilnius and close to the town of Trakai, which is famous for its medieval castle.
Activities range from beginner to advanced Lithuanian language classes, and also extend to cultural activities, plus outdoor activities such as canoeing and cycling around Trakai castle.
“Last year‘s Summer Camp was a success and we hope to repeat it this year,” said Daiva Jevdokimova, a Lingua Lituanica lecturer.
“We have planned fun activities suitable for both families and groups of friends, and will speak Lithuanian the whole weekend, cook Lithuanian dishes, play games, swim in the lake and even taste some traditional drinks.”
The price for an adult ticket is €75 booked before May 15 and will increase to €100 if booked afterwards.
A child’s ticket is €55, while those under seven go free.
