“The incident is a serious challenge to the global non-proliferation regime and open violation of North Korea’s international obligations, in particular the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1718 (2006), 1874 (2009), 2087 (2013) and 2094 (2013).
-These repetitive provocative actions of North Korea threaten peace, security and stability on the Korean Peninsula and the region. Lithuania will support the steps of international community to ensure that North Korea comply with UNSC resolutions and abandon its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs,” read the Lithuanian MFA’s statement.
