Lithuania leads Europe with rise in industrial production

Industrial production in Lithuania rose 2.5% in February bucking the 0.7% fall in production across the European Union, according to the European Union statistics department Eurostat.

Lithuania had the fastest rate of growth in industrial production in the EU, with industrial production in the eurozone also falling by 0.8% in February.

In February, industrial production fell most in Ireland (-10.5%), Greece (-4.4%) and Croatia (-1.6%). Industrial production grew the most in Lithuania (2.5%), Slovakia (2.4%) and Malta (1.8%).
