Lithuanian and Swedish foreign ministers going to Moldova

The agenda of the visit includes meetings with the prime minister, the parliamentary speaker, the foreign minister, with plans to address the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit in Riga and the situation in Transnistria, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius‘ spokesman told BNS.

Moldova, which lies between Ukraine and Romania, has a population of 3.5 million residents.

In parliamentary elections last November, pro-European parties of Moldova won a narrow victory against Communists who want closer ties with Russia.
