Lithuanian court halts border guards’ CCTV tender worth EUR 2.5 mln

Vilnius Regional Court on Monday satisfied a request by IT company Atea and introduced interim measures.

In April, the State Border Guard Service called a tender for the update and expansion of CCTV systems at Kena border crossing point, with a preliminary value of the contract being 2,036 million euros, (2.464 million euros including VAT).

Under the plan, the CCTV systems would be updated at Kena border crossing point in Vilnius District, near the Belarusian border where the state border stretches 8.7 kilometers.
