Lithuanian defense minister takes part in NATO ministerial meeting

Special focus will be given to the assessment of allies’ progress in increasing their defense spending, it said.

NATO’s defense ministers will meet with Federica Mogherini, the EU’s high representative for foreign affairs, and the Finnish and Swedish defense ministers to discuss closer NATO-EU cooperation in countering hybrid threats, terrorism and cyberattacks, and improving conditions for the movement of military capabilities in Europe.

A separate meeting will be held with Georgia’s defense minister.

The Alliance’s defense ministers normally meet three times per year.
