Mr Peart served as the first British Ambassador to Lithuania in 1991-1994. During his tenure as Ambassador in Lithuania, Mr Peart has made significant contribution to the re-establishment of political and economic relations between Lithuania and the United Kingdom his special focus of attention being the implementation of healthcare projects.
After completing his tenure, Mr Peart did not distance himself from Lithuania, but engaged in many charitable activities in our country. His latest project was assistance to St. Francis Cancer Support Centre in Klaipėda. Mr Peart was a long-term sponsor of the Centre. A fundraising campaign – Run for Hope – will take place on 17 May in Klaipėda to support the Centre. Mr Christopher Peart, the son of Michael, will also take part in the run.
