“We are shocked by the attacks which claimed so many innocent lives. We extend our deep condolences to the families of victims and wish a speedy recovery to those injured during the attack. Lithuania expresses its solidarity with Turkey and its people. Manifestations of terrorism in any form is a common enemy of the international community and we must remain united in our efforts to defeat it,” the ministry said.
Lithuanian President Dalia Grybausaitė has signed in the condolences book at the Turkish Embassy in Vilnius.
“In the name of all the people of Lithuania, I offer sincere sympathies to families and friends of the victims of this cruel and ruthless terrorist act,” the president’s entry reads.
President Grybausaitė has condemned the terrorist attack in Ankara that killed almost hundred people on Saturday.
