DELFI / Mindaugas Ažušilis

The minimum monthly wage will apply to about 350,000 workers, 80% of which are public employees. €21.1 million has been reserved from the budget for the minimum wage increase.

Last year, the ruling coalition decided to increase the minimum wage in the beginning of July, and the government approved this decision last week.

The last time the minimum wage increased was at the beginning of the year, when it was increased by €25 to €350.

Beginning on Friday, salaries for doctors and medical workers will increase by an average of 8%, or by €50-€100.
