Eurozone leaders reached a deal on a financial assistance programme for Greece following overnight talks on Monday, aimed at helping Greece to stay in the eurozone.
The agreed austerity measures still need the Greek parliament’s approval, and further talks with Greece on specific aid from the European Stability Mechanism also need the approval of the governments and parliaments of 18 other eurozone countries.
In Lithuania, the decision on a loan from the European Stability Mechanism will be made by the Cabinet following consultations with the Seimas Committee on European Affairs.
