Lithuanian police offer help to Swedish law enforcement in murder case

“Lithuania’s police are ready to provide any kind of assistance to solve this crime. We are actively cooperating with our colleagues in Sweden investigating the circumstances of this brutal crime. We want to provide comprehensive assistance to our colleagues. If needed during the ongoing investigation, we are ready to send a Lithuanian police officer to Sweden,” says Rolandas Kiškis, head of the Lithuanian Criminal Police Bureau.

According to the information available to the Lithuanian Police Department, two Lithuanian citizens from Radviliškis are suspected in the murder of 17-year-old Lisa Holm.

A Swedish news website reports the two suspects, believed to be brothers, are being questioned over the murder. A woman who was also arrested on suspicion of hiding a criminal is believed to be the wife of one of the suspects.

Holm disappeared a week ago and her body was discovered on Friday after a search operation that involved 9,000 volunteers.
