“I truly do not admit any guilt,” Ulbinaitė said after a state prosecutor read the indictment at the first hearing in the case held at a Vilnius court on Tuesday.
The former spokeswoman said she would testify after all evidence was presented, with participation of her main defence lawyer.
The case is heard by a panel of three judges, with an additional judge appointed in the case.
The questioning of witnesses is planned for October.
The pre-trial investigation was started last October after BNS news agency published an article about a warning issued by the State Security Department about information attacks plotted against Lithuanian leaders by Russia.
As soon as the case was handed to court in June, Ulbinaitė stepped down from the team of President Dalia Grybauskaitė.
The court has found that the investigation involved unlawful spying upon employees of the BNS news agency.
