“On our part, we are ready, we need to finish the coordination with the Latvian side,” LG spokesman Mantas Dubauskas told BNS, adding that the route should be available in the coming months.
Lietuvos Geležinkeliai currently carries passengers to the border city of Turmantas, however, seeks to extend the route by approximately 15 km to Daugavpils.
New routes were on the agenda of the Monday’s meeting between LG executives and Latvijas Dzelzsels.
