Lithuanians among 100 Financial Times and Google innovators

The top 100 innovators were announced by the Financial Times and Google along with the international Res Publica and Visegrad funds on Thursday in the 2015 New Europe 100.

There were two presidents among the 100 innovators – Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves as one of the architects of the Estonian economy, famous for its innovations, and President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska for promotion of culture and innovations in the entire region.

Among the innovators in the list there are creators of a car that can be controlled from a wheelchair, creators of a cheaper test for Ebola virus, drones that can be used in rescue operations, organisations that teach children about IT, creators of mobile Wi-Fi zones for refugees.
