“Additional human resources are needed amid intensive development of cultural cooperation between Lithuania and China,” culture vice-minister Romas Jarockis says.
In his words, the new position would contribute to the promotion of Lithuania’s name, the formation of the Baltic country’s positive image and increasing Lithuania’s competitiveness in the Asian region.
The new culture attaché in China would be also responsible for cultural ties with the Republic of Korea.
The final decision will be made by the Government of Lithuania.
