“I am happy and glad after receiving the good news a few days ago that cancer seeds are inactive. I am grateful to everyone who supported me during my disease with their prayers and good wishes,” Adamkus told TV3 news programme.
Adamkus, 89, was diagnosed with kidney cancer three years ago. He had one of his kidneys removed because of the disease.
Adamkus was the president of Lithuania in 1998-2003 and 2004-2009.
