Lithuania’s most influential politicians

DELFI, in cooperation with the magazine Reitingai and the public opinion pollster Spinter Tyrimai, presents the lists of Lithuania’s most influential. Reitingai has surveyed 526 members of the ‘elites’ – politicians, public servants, lawyers, entrepreneurs, economists, media people and public figures – asking them to say who they think is the most influential politician in the country. Meanwhile Spinter Tyrimai gave the same question to 1,013 ordinary Lithuanians aged 18 to 75 (the survey was carried out between 22 and 31 August).

Ordinary Lithuanians believe that the top-ten list should also include MEP and founder of the Labour Party Viktor Uspaskich, MEPs Antanas Guoga and Valentinas Mazuronis, Vytautas Landsbergis, MEPs Rolandas Paksas and Vilija Blinkevičiūtė. The tenth most influential politician, according to the public, is Eligijus Masiulis, leader of the Liberal Movement party.
