According to the Head of Lithuanian Airports Marius Gelžinis, since the merger of Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports in 2014, the company’s costs and resources have been optimised more efficiently. This allows teams of professionals to continually achieve even better results. According to Marius Gelžinis, team’s unity is crucial in pursuit of the main objectives of the company, including continuous growth of the number of passengers served, Lithuanian Airport press office reported.

“Our long-term vision is to become the most popular airport network among passengers and clients in the region. I hope that the new heads of Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports, having accumulated many years of experience in their fields, will further strengthen our positions and lead us towards the achievement of our goal,” says the Head of Lithuanian Airports Marius Gelžinis.

According to Laura Joffė, Executive Director of Lithuanian Airports, the process of selection of branch directors was complicated and had to be done responsibly as they had to choose from a number of very strong applicants. According to Laura Joffė, the final selected candidates were chosen on the basis of their professional experience that could make the biggest contribution to increasing the country’s accessibility, ensuring the highest level of customer service and successful financial management of the company, as well as highlighting the strengths of each airport.

“During the selection process we put great focus on the current competences and values of future heads of the airports. These are two of the main criteria for our decision. The company’s culture was of great importance for the candidates themselves,” says Executive Director of Lithuanian Airports Laura Joffė. “When looking for leaders we took into account specific aspects of each airport. Therefore, experience and knowledge of elected executives differs, but all of them have sparks in their eyes and desire to do more and better. I extend congratulations to the new team members and I wish them success”.
