This is the unit’s third cycle of training of reserve troops over the past few years, the Defense Ministry said.
According to the press release, the three-week refresher cour se will be intensive, featuring a number of tactical drills.
The reserve troops will use M113 armored vehicles, starting the combat training process with exercises of camouflage, battlefield movement, medicine, communication and combat firing from individual weapons.
This year, Lithuania’s Armed Forces intend to invite about 500 reserve troops to such drills. Around 400 former conscripts have already refreshed their knowledge.
