PM says in no rush to find new economy minister

“There are several candidates and our search has stopped at that. We just need to wait and see how the political processes in the Seimas are evolving,” Skvernelis told Žinių Radijas on Thursday morning.

“For the time being, I think the energy minister is coping well with the Economy Ministry,” he added.

Social Democrat Sinkevicius stepped down in mid-October after his party’s council voted in late September to leave the government coalition with the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union.

Energy Minister Žygimantas Vaičiūnas is currently serving as an interim economy minister.
