Alexey Pushkov, the head of the Duma International Relations Committee commented on social media: “That made me laugh. Who needs Lithuania? No one is even inviting it.”
As news agency RIA Novosti reports, Mr. Pushkov was also said, ironically: “Who else is not participating in the coalition? Latvia and Lithuania? Raqqa is celebrating today. These are exactly the countries that the Islamic States fears most.”
In a press conference, which followed Friday’s meeting of the three Baltic presidents, Grybauskaitė said that “Lithuania will not participate in any new coalition in which Russia is participating or shows an interest to do so”.
