Prices of 44 types goods and services go up in June

In June compared with May, prices of fruit and vegetables increased significantly. The average retail prices of green grapes increased by 23.4 percent, oranges – 19.6 percent, onions – 17.8 percent, beets – 13.6 percent.

However, the average prices of white cabbages decreased by 38.5 percent, tomatoes – 18.7 percent, early potatoes – 11.2 percent.

As regards other goods, prices of fermented cabbage increased by 9 percent, long grain white rice – 5.6 percent, turkey breast fillet – 4.5 percent, sunflower oil – 4.2 percent, light bread – 3.7 percent, chocolate glazed vanilla curd cheese – 3.2 percent, iodised fine salt – 2.9 percent, pasteurised milk (2.5 pct fat) – 2.6 percent.

The average price of naturally fermented sparkling wine decreased by 5 percent, Lithuanian-made beer – 4.3 percent, vanilla ice-cream – 3.8 percent, liquefied petroleum gas – 3.7 percent, fine white sugar – 3.5 percent, wheat flour noodles – 3.2 percent, curd (9 pct fat) – 2.9 percent, window cleaner – 2.9 percent, semolina and orange juice – 2.7 percent each.

In June, Statistics Lithuania registered 13,203 prices in euro and litas in 983 retail and service companies in 18 towns.
