Speaking to CNN in Davos, Switzerland, where she is attending the World Economic Forum, Grybauskaitė said that Russia’s economic recession due to plummeting oil prices makes Moscow’s behaviour even more unpredictable.

“If we talk about a hungry and irritated neighbour, it is additional danger on top of its generally unpredictable behaviour,” Grybauskaitė told CNN.

She also noted that Lithuania had recently built a liquefied natural gas terminal and electricity interconnections with Poland and Sweden, which made it less dependent on Russian energy imports.
