UK’s first ambassador to Lithuania passes away

“So saddened to learn that Michael Peart, first British Ambassador to Lithuania, passed away. Lithuania lost a true friend,” the embassy tweeted.

Michael Peart served as the UK’s ambassador in Vilnius between 1991 and 1994. He was aged 71.
