The 22-year-old serviceman was detained in Sventaragio Street at around 2:35 a.m., the Police Department said.
“He was sober. He was breathalysed,” Paulius Radvilavicius, spokesman for the Vilnius county police, told BNS.
The police stated that the American had breached public order, which is punishable by a fine of 30 to 140 euros.
Given that the serviceman admitted his guilt, showed no resistance to police and committed such a violation in Lithuania for the first time, he was fined 15 euros.
