The 2nd place in the European Basketball Championship has secured Lithuania a slot in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. On Sunday, Lithuania lost the finals to Spain.
Up until now, the Lithuanian men’s basketball team has won the European Basketball Championship three times in 1937, 1939 and 2003. In 2007, Lithuania won bronze. The team previously won silver in 1995 and 2013.
