The meeting of the Baltic and Ukrainian defence ministers in the Lithuanian northern city of Panevėžys will focus on the Baltic countries’ assistance to Ukraine in an effort to help the country grow its own armed forces and reform the defence sector, Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defence said on Tuesday.
During a a trilateral meeting, Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian Defence Minister Juozas Olekas, Raimonds Vejonis and Sven Mikser will discuss the joint development of Baltic military capabilities, regional security, other defence issues and the deterrence measures agreed by NATO.
