ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating is finally to be held in Lithuania

For the first time in history of Lithuanian Figure Skating ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating will be held in Lithuania. On 6-8th of September in Kaunas Žalgiris arena, the Grand Prix event „Amber Cup“ organized by Lithuanian Skating Federation will gather more than 100 skaters from all over the world. 33 member federations have already sent their preliminary entries. „This is a huge accomplishment for such a small country as Lithuania. We dreamed about this kind of event in Lithuania since the times when Margarita Drobiazko and Povilas Vanagas had been making Lithuania known with their unforgettable performances on the ice. This Thursday, on July 19th in the village of Talačkoniai (Pasvalys district) people with disabilities from all around the Lithuania will gather for annual celebration. Kupiškis’ lagoon shaken by the centenary event “Stichijos”

Stichijos” (“Elements”) is a creativity and arts festival that does not have an equivalent in the entire Lithuania, and is aimed at promoting the name of the city of Kupiškis. On July 7th, the third iteration of the “Stichijos” event arrived to the Kupiškis lagoon with a resonating name “Mother-in-law’s Tongue”.
