Electricity prices edge up in Lithuania and Latvia

Last week, electricity import in Lithuania and Latvia have fallen 23 percent if compared to the week before, resulting in a one-percent growth of electricity prices up to 46,36 EUR/MWh. In Estonia, the trend was the opposite, the price fell by one percent to 36,57 EUR/MWh.

Last week, power plants in the Baltic states produced 70 percent of all electricity consumed there.

Lithuania imported 76 percent of its electricity needs while Latvia imported only 7 percent and Estonia produced 1 percent more than what the country consumed.
