Speaking about Ukraine, Kriščiūnas emphasised that before full-fledged free trade is launched with Ukraine on 1 January 2016, it must get suitably prepared for the implementation of free trade agreement provisions.

Next, Lithuania encouraged Azerbaijan and Belarus to accelerate negotiations on membership in the World Trade Organisation. Lithuania also supported future negotiations with Armenia over an agreement which would promote modernisation of its economy. A free trade agreement with Armenia cannot be signed because it is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union.
