Sixteen Ukrainian school students, aged 10-15, will visit Lithuania on 25-31 October. The initiative aimed at helping children affected by the war in Ukraine has been launched by the Lithuanian Children and Youth Centre, Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday.
Last Friday, the group was seen off by Lithuanian Ambassador to Ukraine Petras Vaitiekūnas at the Lithuanian Embassy in Kiev.
“We are glad that Lithuania can help people affected by military actions in eastern Ukraine and we hope that this initiative will contribute to the promotion of communication among children and strengthening of ties with Lithuania,” the ambassador said.
