“Yesterday’s report came as a surprise to me. I have received no invitation to become transport minister and I have no plans to become one,” he told BNS on Thursday.
LRT Television’s news program Panorama reported on Wednesday evening that Misiūnas was being offered the transport minister’s job in the new coalition government that is being formed.
Ramūnas Karbauskis, chairman of the Lithuanian Peasant and Green Union (LPGU), the party that won the most seats in recent parliamentary elections, also denied this information.
“There has been no talk about this. I can neither confirm nor deny anything. I know nothing about this,” he told BNS.
