The money will be transferred to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Turkey has received the largest number of Syrian refugees, with around 2.5 million Syrians now living in Turkey. Turkey is also home to the major transit routes for migrants who want to reach the EU.

Lithuanian allocated EUR 48,700 in humanitarian aid to Syrians in 2014, and also gave EUR 90,000 last year.
