Mogilev Oblast in Belarus and the city of Mogilev, third largest city in Belarus in terms of population, were chosen to host the economic forum for the reason that the region is the countrys’ leader in attracting foreign direct investments, including those from Lithuania. A total of seven investment projects have been implemented in Mogilev Oblast with Lithuanian businessmen. One of the largest of the projects was building a furniture manufacturing complex in the free economic zone of Mogilev.

A delegation of more than 80 Lithuanian businessmen is expected to take part in the talks to promote economic cooperation. The delegates will also visit an exhibition-presentation of investment projects and innovations of Mogilev Oblast and will take part in business meetings, BelTA said.
