The country scored better than Spain (33), the UK (34), France (38), the United States (49) and Italy (73) in the 2014 list drafted by the Paris-based nongovernmental organization Reporters Without Borders, but lagged behind neighbouring Estonia (10), Poland (18) and Latvia (28).

Just like last year, Finland tops the list, followed by Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden.

Russia came in 152nd and China, Syria, Turkmenistan, North Korea and Eritrea are at the bottom.
