
This will be the first exercise in a series of three where the troops will improve their loading, haulage, fueling and other logistic actions, the Lithuanian Armed Forces said.
The exercise will take place Monday through Saturday.
Troops of the 173rd Air Assault Brigade, including the brigade’s direct support company, have been stationed in Lithuania since June. Together with specialists of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Vytenis General Support Logistics Battalion, the company has already completed theoretical lectures and will now proceed to field practical training that will take place in three phases, in August, September and October.
The rotational contingents of the US Army’s Land Forces have been deployed in the Baltic states and Poland in response to the Russian aggression in Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea.
