“International practice in such cases is that politicians do not comment on such situations,” she told journalists in Vilnius.

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Wednesday it had detained a Lithuanian officer working for the Lithuanian Defence Ministry’s Second Investigation Department.

The detention comes three weeks after a Russian citizen was arrested in Lithuania, suspected of having spied for the FSB.

The Lithuanian president also refused to say whether Lithuania would agree to a swap with Russia.
