A Lithuanian consular official on Friday visited Tamošaitis who is in custody at the Lefortov detention centre, the director of the ministry’s Information and Public Relations Department, Giedrius Puodžiūnas, confirmed to BNS.
“We can also confirm his identity. He is indeed a citizen of Lithuania, Aristidas Tamošaitis. In his words, the conditions at the detention centre are satisfactory, he had no complaints in connection to his health condition. Tamošaitis has a lawyer appointed by the Russian Federation and he does not want him replaced,” said the diplomat.
