
Lithuanian developer Hanner has acquired a piece of land in the Romanian capital, Bucharest, where the company plans to build offices and apartments worth €40 million, the company has said.
Hanner acquired the former Grivita beer factory area in the western part of Bucharest for €5 million. The new development project is scheduled to begin this autumn.
The transaction includes three 11,000 sq. m protected objects and the remains of the façade of the brewery. These structures are to be restored and made into offices and residential facilities.
“We have planned to build 20,000 sq. m. of office space and 160 apartments,” said Hanner board chairman Arvydas Avulis.
In Bucharest, the company is currently completing a construction of a residential quarter in the Tineretului Park, which will offer 428 apartments. Previously in the capital of Romania Hanner has completed projects Carol Park Residence and CityCenter.
