The parliament will discuss the ruling Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union‘s proposal to ratify the pact on condition that it includes Lithuania’s statement on imports of genetically modified organisms and hormone-treated beef.
CETA was submitted to the Seimas for ratification back in the spring of 2017, but the process stalled by the parliament’s Committee on Health Affairs.
