The consignment was declared as the Chinese tofu cheese marinated in a spicy sauce, the service announced on Wednesday. Customs officers detained the consignment in St Petersburg.
The container was loaded with 22 tons of the cheese Svalia produced in Lithuania.
The incident is currently under investigation.
