The IL-78 military refuelling aircraft of the Russian Federation was intercepted on 30 January as it was flying over international area of the Baltic Sea according to a pre-filed flight plan using its onboard transponder and maintaining radio communication with air traffic control centre, Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defence said.
