The speaker will travel to the Chonhar checkpoint on the border with the peninsula, which was annexed by Russia in 2014.
Pranckietis told reporters in Kiev on Thursday that the aim of his visit was to show that Lithuania did not and would never recognize Russia’s aggressive actions.
In Kherson, the speaker will also meet with local officials and attend the opening of a Baltic and Black Sea economic forum. He will also meet with Crimean Tatars to discuss the situation of the ethnic minority in the Russia-annexed peninsula.
