The Security Council issued a statement on 13 January calling for an objective investigation of the attack and saying that the culprits must be brought to justice.
Next, the Security Council emphasised the need to closely observe the Minsk Protocol and Memorandum.
As a result of an artillery shell strike on a passenger bus, 11 civilians were killed and 17 wounded, women and children among them. The incident occurred near the town of Volnovakha, Donetsk Region, where the bloody conflict between the Government of Ukraine and pro-Russian forces has been continuing for nine months.
