The DSCA’s statement reads, “The Government of Lithuania has requested a sale of eighty-four M 1126 Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicles (ICV) with the ATK 30mm cannon, the XM813 30mm cannon or a European variant with the Remote Weapon Station and eighty-four M2 Flex Machine Guns.”
The DSCA notes that the statement does not mean that the acquisition has taken or will take place.
As reported, in late October the decision over IFV purchase by the Lithuanian army was postponed after two additional proposals were received. One of them was to acquire Stryker vehicles from the US or Rosomak from Poland. Now the decision on the existing proposals, 10 vehicle platforms and 2 turrets, should be announced by the end of November.
