Closer relations with China will give Lithuanian Post new development opportunities

In May this year, Lithuanian Post has also entered into partnership with CLEVY, an international logistics and transport company carrying out its activities in China, Lithuania Post announced.

Vice-minister of Transport and Communications and Lithuania Post’s Chairman of the Board Arijandas Šliupas said:

“Lithuania Post’s partnership with courier and mail delivery companies in China plays an important role in exploiting the potential of our country. Due to a convenient geographical location and well-developed transport infrastructure we are an especially attractive country in terms of transit of international correspondence. I have no doubts that this cooperation will allow Lithuania to become China’s, one of the biggest world markets, gate to Europe.”

According to Mr Šliupas, China has the largest e-commerce market in Asia and one of the largest markets in the world. Rapid market growth followed by increasing volumes of transported items prompts companies in China to search for safe and fast delivery of items to every country worldwide, including European countries.

CEO of Lithuania Post Lina Minderienė said:
