Flaming Thunder army exercise starts in Lithuania

The drill will take place at the General Silvestras Žukauskas Training Area in Pabrade, eastern Lithuania, Gaižiūnai Training Area in Rukla, central Lithuania, and at the Brigadier General Povilas Plechavicius Training Area in Klaipėda Distict, western Lithuania, Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defense said.

Troops will train to deliver indirect fire during the day and night at land and sea targets

Held for a sixth time, the training will take place until May 25 and will involve over 1,200 troops from nine NATO countries, including the US, Canada, Croatia, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, France and Germany.
